For centuries, the Viking fortress Nonnebakken has remained largely invisible in Odense’s modern cityscape, its historical significance obscured by urban development. Recognising the need to preserve and highlight this key part of Denmark’s Viking heritage, a new initiative has been launched to make the fortress more visible and accessible to the public.
