The inscription is signed by the runemaster Balli.

The sandstone slab is c. 1,64 m tall and 0,66 m wide at the base, and 0,52 cm wide at the top across the loop.

Notes

The reconstruction of the head of the largest animal has been modelled on animal heads on other stones carved by Balli.

The original inscription would most likely have been something in the vein of “[Name X] had the stone raised in memory of [Name Y], his brother. He died in/travelled to the east. Balli carved these runes.”
